Rivals 5* OLB Arthur Brown to Miami

Arthur Brown, a 6'1, 225lb OLB from Wichita, KS (Wichita East HS), who is the #2 ranked outside linebacker prospect in the country behind Nigel Bradham (FSU commit), verbaled to Miami today in a press conference from the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame. There were 5 hats on the table, signifying his final five of Miami, USC, LSU, UNC, and Florida.

Brown projects in college as a middle linebacker though he's counted as an outside linebacker by rivals.com rankings. He's also rated the #24 player in the country by the Rivals 100 national rankings.

Along side Brown were his mother, father, and brother Bryce Brown, who is already ranked in early 2009 projections by rivals.com as a 5* running back, and the #10 ranked player in the 2009 recruiting class. It is rumored that his family, including Bryce, will move from Wichita to Miami and Bryce will then play HS football for one of the many high schools in the city of Miami in his senior year.

I think Arthur Brown's the truth even though they went against Kansas HS football competition and not Texas, Florida or Cali HS competition. If what I've heard about Bryce transferring to a Miami HS if/when his parents move down to S. Florida, I'll be looking forward to seeing how good Bryce really is as a RB when he's going against some of these teams like a Miami Northwestern, Booker T. Washington, Columbus, Pahokee, St. Thomas Aquinas, etc...I want to see how he stacks up against a talent rich area.

Wichita actually has some good football. Kamron Wimbley worked out fine for FSU and he was from that area. Although it was a long time ago, guys like Barry Sanders and Gayle Sayers worked out just fine coming from that area too.

Bryce Brown looks like he is gonna be something special. I wouldn't mind seeing him in the Maroon and Orange, lol. Arthur Brown is gonna be another headhunter for you all. He could be the next great one at LB for Da U!

Truth--I know those names came out of there--but Wichita Directional High isn't Miami Northwestern or Booker T. Washington. It's gonna be a different world if/when he plays with/against the likes of those dudes.
